For Sponk, who is constantly in search of artistic challenges and perfection, the use of acrylic colours was a new artistic direction. Thanks to the expressive acrylic painting style, he created more than 300 nature paintings. His artworks, which depicted abstract representations of nature, were created by applying layers of colour to wet surfaces. What emerged were worlds of colour that led to his major project ‘Vivid Liquids’.
