We are delighted to announce that the graffiti abstract work from the Sponk series ‘Take a Smile’ has raised the impressive sum of €2,650 on the charity platform United Charity. All of the proceeds will go to the charity wünschdirwas e.V., which has been fulfilling the heartfelt wishes of seriously and chronically ill children and young people in Germany for over 30 years.
United Charity is Europe’s largest charity auction platform, offering unique, often exclusive items and experiences that are otherwise unavailable for purchase. Every auction is dedicated to a good cause, with 100% of the proceeds supporting charitable organizations. Each year, just before Christmas, wünschdirwas e.V. partners with United Charity to auction donated artworks and other items, ensuring that the funds directly support their mission.
Founded in Cologne in 1989, wünschdirwas e.V. has dedicated itself to bringing joy and hope to seriously ill children and teenagers by fulfilling their most heartfelt wishes. These unforgettable experiences aim to bring moments of happiness, boost their confidence, and give them strength to face life’s challenges.
The featured artwork from Sponk’s “Take a Smile” series is a true masterpiece, created using a unique splatter technique. Through a secret and innovative process, the paint is manipulated to form an organic smiley pattern, resulting in a joyful and energetic composition. Measuring 45 x 60 cm and painted on Alu-Dibond, the piece is both signed and numbered on the back, making it a valuable and exclusive collector’s item.
Graffiti has evolved from its street art roots into a widely respected art form, with artists like Sponk using their talents to make a social impact. By contributing to charitable causes, they demonstrate how art can become a powerful force for change, blending creativity with compassion.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this auction, helping to raise a significant donation for wünschdirwas e.V. Your support will help fulfill the dreams of many children, creating unforgettable moments of joy and hope for them and their families.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
May the joy of this successful auction inspire your holiday season, bringing smiles to your faces and warmth to your hearts. Thank you for being part of this meaningful journey with us. Together, we are making a difference—one smile at a time.
